VO Gear

You need a microphone and software that’s great and inexpensive. Here’s where to find it.

The right VO equipment for the right price.

The way VO talent acquires work has changed drastically and rapidly over the last few years, due in no small measure to the advent of online casting sites like ACX.com, Voice123.com and Voices.com.

What used to be a trip to a studio or the agent’s office, is now a saunter over to the talent’s computer, and the use of a personal microphone and sound editing software to create the MP3 file that is sent back to the party requesting the audition. And to get that done, the VO artist needs great, inexpensive, easy to use, and hopefully portable home recording equipment.

Just 10 years ago, installing home equipment would have cost thousands of dollars. Now, technology exists that reduces that barrier to entry to just $100 bucks or so for a great mic and some free software.

VO2GoGo can point you in the right direction to do it yourself with excellent microphones, fantastic software, or we can come to your home and install and train you on your new recording equipment.
