Up-to-date CD Info

Hey, there!

I’ve seen a lot of VO artists and actors chasing their tails when it comes to keeping up with casting directors. They move around a lot, because, like us, once they finish one job, it’s then their job to find another job. Which usually means a new show or commercial project, and a new office, which isn’t always announced. And you want to find out. And you don’t have the time, do you?

I’ve got the answer, and for one week, it’s free for you to use.

So. What’s the secret of staying up on casting directors’ information?

There seems to be a website for everything, and there happens to be a great one for keeping close tabs on casting directors, their projects and their contact information. You can find it all at Casting About:

http://castingabout.com/david

(That special link gets you a week free, no strings attached, no credit card numbers asked for until you decide at the end of seven days you want to continue. And I get nothing for sending you…you just get seven free days because your old buddy David? I know a guy.)

Two guys, actually.

Casting About was the brainchild of two very smart guys, Blair and Brian, actors who were sick and tired of trying to remember where CDs were and what they were working on, so they decided to build a site to house all this hard won data.

Now, after becoming a part of Breakdown Services, they’re still actors, but they now have a staff that does the keeping-up-on-things for them. And they’re good guys, too.

This is a site that’s worth every penny – it’s less than 10 bucks a month, and less than $40 for the year. Well worth it when you’re looking up shows, who’s casting them, and where you can send the little gifts after you book your job with them. You can even keep notes on CDs. I share my notes with my agent and my manager – this just the kind of site that keeps my team humming.

Try it out and you’ll be totally connected. Here’s the link again:

Remember, you get a week for free.

Hope this helps.

David
