I’ve found that the feeling( all must be perfect before I can start) usually pops into my gut when i’ve decided to walk a path that is currently beyond my capacity. I wrestle with that belief until my ability to walk in the path i’m on begins to bear tangible fruit – then it’s easier for me to move past it. The origin of that belief in my life grew out of a childhood with toxic parents – what I did was never good enough,I would be criticized,(I’d go as far to say;be demonized) and punished, for my lack of knowledge to do a chore I was asked to do, or a sport I attempted, or when I tried to help my dad repair his cars and motorcycles. Basically, whatever I didn’t know was held against me.
The biggest idea I’ve learned from Day 1 is that the other person’s (and my own) behavior was the best choice available to them/me at the time.
I’ve never thought about it that way before. Thanks! Great session!
