Getting Ready vs. Getting Started

Hey there!

I teach a free course called Getting Started in Voice Over.

And I didn’t even realize it when I named it that way back in 2009, but that title has a very specific and very useful advantage.

Especially compared to what it could have been called.

Trevor’s Three A’s From Apple On Killing Customers With Kindness

Hey there!

In one of my other videos, I gave you the sentence that makes dealing with angry customers a much better experience for both them and me.

Turns out no school did.

And it illustrates why you should be ready to question anything. Even me.

Here’s a link to the article: https://link.medium.com/F1KqOrXjIU

And here’s a link to the Prodigy game itself: https://prodigygame.com/

Go Ahead. Multitask. But Try It Like This.

Hey there!

There’s a school of thought that says, “No multitasking! Concentrate on one thing at a time!”

Seems logical. But what if there was a particular type of multitasking that worked, and worked really well?

Motivation: Your Three Big Needs In A Cool Little Package

Hey there!

Just as our body needs basic food groups, air, and water to survive, we also have three very big and very basic needs when it comes to motivation.

If we want to change our behavior, shedding an old one, accepting a new one, or adjusting one we’re going to keep, these three needs must be met or the change just won’t stick.

Here are those needs and what to do about them.
