Go from zero to hero with the full VO2GoGo curriculum.

The VO2GoGo curriculum is presented in a “zero-to-hero” fashion – as a suggested path (and you can take any class you like at any time if you’re a member of the Pro Complete program). You get the prerequisites at the beginning of the curriculum, VO skill-building and voiceover career management training throughout, building on previous classes and the most advanced work toward the end of your year. (Don’t worry if you miss anything – you can jump into classes at any time, and pick up the classes you missed.)

NOTE: For each module, there are three classes you watch at your leisure online, then each month, there is a VO Workout Class, where you’ll discuss that module’s class content, and work on various forms of VO copy.

By module:

Module 1: Science + Commerce Basics (release month: January)

It used to be that going to your VO agent’s office or to a studio somewhere in the city to audition for a VO job was an almost daily event. Not anymore: to be a successful VO artist, you must have excellent home and portable VO equipment. The good news? It can cost you less than $200 to get all you need.

Microphones are the first physical tool you encounter when doing voiceover work, and they are essential to your success. Learning how to select, use and master different types of microphones you’ll use will smooth your career path in your own studio, or someone else’s. Find out what mics to covet, what mics to avoid, and how to master your chosen weapon.

Audacity, the free, open-source audio recording, editing and mastering software, has become the standard go-to software package for auditions and production work. Its light weight, its ease of use, and certainly, its price has VO artists flocking to use it. Learn how to make the most of Audacity’s features and benefits, and how to save time while doing better auditions.

After you view these classes online, each month there is a choice of live workout sessions, where there is discussion about the month’s class material, and a question and answer period with the instructor. Then, attendees who have reserved Participant seats get up on mic, and work on various forms of VO copy, directed and adjusted by the instructor. MP3 recordings are sent to them via email.

Module 2: Commercial Foundations (release month: February)

In this first of two classes on the most common category of work, commercial copy occupies a special place in the rainbow of work you will encounter in your voiceover career.
