Get Better At Executing Today’s Plan By Starting Last Night

Hey there!

A very quick tip today that I’ve found really useful, and I have one of my VA’s to thank for it.

Since I’ve been working with her, Stina has sent me a quick text each night, reminding me of the following day’s schedule.

I take that, and use it to inform my 3-2-1 list building. But instead of doing that work the next morning, I find it really helpful to do it the night before. Here’s how I accomplish that to put my mind at ease.

Raw YouTube Captioning

Hey there, it’s David H Lawrence the 17th.
quick quick tip today
That could be one of those little tiny adjustments that you make that have a big impact.
On your productivity and your focus and how things get done for you the things that you really want to get done. So
In an earlier video I talked about three to one of the three two one homework. You haven’t seen it yet. Go ahead and
search for it in the video channel 3 2 1 homework
Just a quick reminder. It’s the three.
Big things you want to get done that day that week that month. However long you’re making the list for
the two action items that you need to take to get those things done the two action steps that you need and one good reason
why that each one of those three things should be on your list just to
Sort of justifying your mind why it’s important.
so the little tweak
Is that I’ve switched.
From doing it.
In the morning that day when I wake up.
To taking advantage of something that my virtual assistants Tina does for me every night every night. I get a quick text
from her.
With a preview of what the next day’s schedule is going to be any meetings that I have scheduled any appointments.
Anything that I have on my calendar that I need to get done you no physical therapy, whatever it is.
And so I can build my day around that.
And then I either make one of those things something that I have to do if I have to prepare for it or I build my list at
that point knowing what I have the next day.
And I found a really interesting lovely side benefit from doing it then cuz it only takes like 5 minutes and usually she
hits me up around.
9:30 10:00 at night when she does one final pass in my email for the day.
She just checked my calendar and then it lets me know and it’s really lovely. It’s like a nice little you know, like a
bedtime snack.
But it’s become even more useful because I use that to do the 3-2-1 homework then.
And what I found is I feel a lot more at ease. I feel like I’m prepared for the next day. I feel like
It’s one less thing. I have to worry about first thing in the morning when I get up.
And sometimes when I get up I’ll see an email the changes the day for me. I’ll get an audition or I’ll get.
booked on something or you know, something happens that I have to change things around, but I have
That initial work.
Done and it’s so quick to do it once you get used to doing it. So
The tip is do it the night before.
make your day spectacular by beginning with that 3 2 1 homework the night before
And as I said, it takes such a small amount of time.
And it’s such a powerful little tweet. I just wanted to share that with you in case you embraced 3 2 1 homework and and
that’s something that you’re using to help plan your day.
Let me know what you think about that. Is that something try it and then leave me a comment or leave me a message. Let me
know what you think.
And also let me know if this is the kind of stuff. I mean, you know we
We are coming up on our halfway point.
And I’m going to be asking you a very important question about what you’re getting out of this and if there’s things that
you want and things that you don’t want just to get some feedback from you.
But think about this are these the kind of things that are helpful to you.
I’d love to know if you’re seeing this anywhere but on VO2 gogo.com pop over there. Leave me a contact leave me a comment
because that’s where the conversation is moderated and sane and
polite and lovely
And we have all kinds of great tools for you over if you go to gogo.com as well. If you like to join my channel on YouTube
go ahead and click on my head there and we’re look for a subscribe button. You can do that.
If you want to see the latest episode go ahead and click on that frame and YouTube will play it for you.
I’m David H Lawrence the 17th. I think you so much for watching and listening and I’ll talk to you later.

I used to do something similar for the Executive I worked for…never thought to do it for myself! LOL!!

I don’t know what changed, or when. I used to carry a little pocket notebook that would contain a list for the days and what I needed to do on what day. I would update it throughout the day. It became a check list I could use to judge my progress. At some point, I just stopped. I don’t recall why.

This 321 series has gotten me back to doing a plan again. This time, it’s the 321 plan and it works!

Never made lists am or pm, but had started doing am. Only the day has already begun, and demands on my time, took over.I think pm. will work better, make a list, sleep on it , when I wake up, I,ll know what’s really a must do.
